A BIS hallmark is the Government of India's guarantee of purity. Every hallmarked gold piece carries three marks, laser-engraved and recorded against a unique ID.
BIS Standard Mark
The Bureau of Indian Standards mark, confirming the piece was tested and certified at a BIS-recognised assaying & hallmarking centre.
Purity / Fineness Grade
Karat and fineness together, like 22K916: 91.6% pure gold. Other grades include 18K750 and 14K585.
HUID: Hallmark Unique ID
A 6-character alphanumeric code unique to each piece. Mandatory on hallmarked gold jewellery in India since July 2021.

What is HUID and why does it matter?
HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification) is a 6-character alphanumeric code laser-marked on each hallmarked gold piece. It links the piece to its purity test and hallmarking centre, and you can verify it in the BIS CARE app.
What does 916 mean on gold?
916 is the fineness of 22 karat gold: 91.6% pure gold, with the rest made of alloy metals for strength. 750 is 18K and 585 is 14K.
Is your gold hallmarked?
Our gold jewellery is BIS hallmarked, and every piece is weighed in front of you. Ask us to show you the hallmark and HUID on any piece.
Can you make a design from a photo?
Yes. Send a photo or sketch on WhatsApp with your budget, and we'll suggest options, weight and a timeline.
Do you exchange or remake old gold?
Yes. Bring your old jewellery; we test and weigh it and can remake it into a new design or adjust its value against a new purchase.
How is the price of jewellery calculated?
Price = (net gold weight × day's rate for that purity) + making charges + stone charges (if any) + 3% GST. Use the calculator above for an estimate.
